Mile #0004

Mile #0004

After 3 straight days of packing and sweating in the August Florida heat (more of the sweating than packing, I think), we were finally in the RV and ready to get going on this epic 17 day adventure when Tim calls to me in the back and tells me that he thinks we have a flat tire (Already? Seriously??) and that we need to pull over. We pull over into the nearest gas station and check all of the tires....they look good... We try to keep pushing on while still keeping an eye on the tire situation but any time the RV goes over 40 mph, it starts shaking violently. After calling all of the RV service shops in Panama City and getting turned down by all of them for different reasons (no appointments available, no lift big enough for an RV, etc.) we call one last place and luckily they could take us right away! The mechanic takes the RV back and Tim, the pups, and I go into the store and look at all of the awesome camping stuff. It was really nice to be able to bring the dogs inside. After about 30 minutes, the mechanic came back inside and told us that the tires look great, but the tie rods are showing some normal wear and tear but that it could have been the issue. It isn't shaking anymore and we're doing 60 mph! P.S. I have named the RV Betty.
