Mile #1236

Mile #1236

Des: "Is that the road that sounds like that?"

Tim: "Yeah..."

Des: "Hmmm, okay."

We blew a tire!

Mile #1140

We made it to the Oklahoma KOA last night around 10pm and hit the hay. We were hoping to have gotten here a bit earlier, but with everything that happened with the battery, that's all we could do. On to Amarillo!

Mile #0975

Mile #0975

We stopped to get gas at a Love's truck stop and when we went to start the RV, all we got were a bunch of clicks from the engine. You could feel the disappointment in the room. We called Good Sam and we were told that they would send a mechanic out but that he wouldn't get to us for an hour and a half. So there we were, in the Winnebago, stuck at pump #3. But us Sattlers adapt... so what did we do? Turned the generator on and popped in a movie! The battery was replaced in no time and we continued on to Oklahoma City!

The pups were happy to be back on the road!

Mile #0716

We made it to Houston 2 days ago and spent time with my family! The first day we had a Scentsy party and we had a BBQ and yesterday we drove around Houston hitting up Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shop, and a store called Sun and Ski. We didn't have much luck with the first two, but Sun and Ski had everything we needed! Tim and I got gloves, jackets, shirts, and I found an awesome bomber hat!

We're just past Dallas now and on the road to Oklahoma City where we'll stay the night!

Our new jackets!
Yes, I bought that hat, no Tim didn't buy that one (thank goodness lol)

Mile #0577

I was in the back making Tim coffee when suddenly...

P.S. If I represented a person in this .gif,  I'd be the guy in the white t-shirt driving the boat.

The search for Chipotle begins...

Mile #0004

Mile #0004

After 3 straight days of packing and sweating in the August Florida heat (more of the sweating than packing, I think), we were finally in the RV and ready to get going on this epic 17 day adventure when Tim calls to me in the back and tells me that he thinks we have a flat tire (Already? Seriously??) and that we need to pull over. We pull over into the nearest gas station and check all of the tires....they look good... We try to keep pushing on while still keeping an eye on the tire situation but any time the RV goes over 40 mph, it starts shaking violently. After calling all of the RV service shops in Panama City and getting turned down by all of them for different reasons (no appointments available, no lift big enough for an RV, etc.) we call one last place and luckily they could take us right away! The mechanic takes the RV back and Tim, the pups, and I go into the store and look at all of the awesome camping stuff. It was really nice to be able to bring the dogs inside. After about 30 minutes, the mechanic came back inside and told us that the tires look great, but the tie rods are showing some normal wear and tear but that it could have been the issue. It isn't shaking anymore and we're doing 60 mph! P.S. I have named the RV Betty.
